In Loki season 2, episode 3, there's a distinct shift in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the episode opens with an altered Marvel Studios intro, reflecting the time period of 1868 where this episode is set. Ravonna Renslayer steps out of a time door, entrusted with a mysterious package by He Who Remains, aimed at protecting the timeline.

While in Chicago in 1868, Loki and Mobius encounter a young Victor Timely who happens upon a copy of the TVA manual. They soon realize that the temporal loom at the TVA is out of control and can't be repaired without He Who Remains's temporal aura. In pursuit of Renslayer, who may have Miss Minutes with her, Loki and Mobius travel to this period.

In 1893, at the Chicago World's Fair, they explored various references to the MCU and connected this fair with the one in "Iron Man 3." Here, they find mentions of Norse gods and Victor Timely's Temporal Marvels, laden with Easter eggs.

Victor Timely, the episode's central character, reveals his plan to use the Temporal Loom as a source of energy. This insight into the TVA's functioning and time manipulation deepens our understanding of the chaos caused by its malfunction.

During a chase for Victor Timely, various parties seek him. Loki and Mobius want his aura to fix the loom, Renslayer and Miss Minutes want him to rule alongside He Who Remains, the robber baron seeks revenge, and Sylvie, following a warning from Hunter B15, wants him dead.

Victor hides in an Egyptian exhibit, referencing an Egyptian variant of Kang. As a confrontation unfolds, it becomes apparent that Victor's con game is due to his technology's limitations.

Miss Minutes's intriguing character is revealed further; she's a sentient AI with complex emotions, hinting at possible future developments. The episode also delves into a romantic relationship between Renslayer and Victor Timely, diverging from the comics.

Sylvie is prevented from killing Victor Timely by his declaration of autonomy. Loki and Mobius take Victor to the TVA, while Sylvie, Renslayer, and Miss Minutes confront each other.

Miss Minutes hints at a big secret about Renslayer, which could involve her past as a ruler of the TVA alongside He Who Remains. Miss Minutes is revealed to have administrative access to the entire universe, hinting at her knowledge of TVA workers' past lives on the Sacred Timeline. This could be her big secret for Renslayer.
