Searching for Net-Casting / Ogre-Faced Spiders, Deinopis longipes, at night in the mountains of the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.

05:56 - After a recent revision (Alejandro et. al., 2024) on the genus, the eyelash vipers in this area are now B. nigroadspersus. The information I presented remains true.
13:54 - The upper eyelid is not fixed, but it is typically only the lower eyelid and nictitating membrane that move over the eye.
