A short documentary of my summer internship with the pandas at Wolong National Nature Reserve and Bifengxia Panda Base in Sichuan Province, China. 2013. While I was there, the area suffered from massive downpour, flooding, and landslides. The road was completely covered with active landslides at some parts, so we had to hike around or over them without falling into the river. When we left a few days later (after having lost both power and water pressure where we were staying) we drove past collapsed tunnels, bridges, and houses on our way back to the city. Because the three hour road was completely destroyed by landslides, the route we took was a fourteen hour car ride across the Tibetan Plateau to go up and down two mountains to get to the city.
