AgForce's fourth webinar's guest speakers are Ben Waters, FTI Consulting’s Senior Managing Director - Head of Agribusiness, Corporate Finance and Restructuring, Claire Watson, FTI Consulting’s Director – Agribusiness, Corporate Finance and Restructuring, and Nick Hammond, Suncorp’s Senior Analyst, ESG.

FTI’s dedicated Agribusiness team offer clients strategic, transaction and corporate finance advisory services across the entire food and agribusiness value chain. From farm gate through to processing, the team offers expertise to assist clients in navigating conversations with key stakeholders, from customers to capital providers, and in managing the challenges their operations face, including ESG.

Ben and Claire will discuss how they assist producers and operators in understanding how engaging with ESG can assist in unlocking markets and access to capital going forward. Ben will also break down the approach to engaging with ESG in operations and, using case studies, will provide tangible examples of how operators have de-risked and secured their operations through engaging with ESG management.

Nick Hammond’s role at Suncorp focuses on supporting the Bank’s Sustainability strategy, through impact measurement, target setting and action planning across the Bank’s own operations and its customers within home, business lending and deposits portfolios.

Nick’s presentation will focus on the heightened expectations of financial regulators and Government for Bank’s managing Climate risk, how Climate risk can also be considered a Financial risk, and Suncorp Bank’s current priorities in supporting its Agribusiness customers and early learnings from an AgCarE Assessment pilot of 10 Queensland Beef producers.
