Here is a short and unedited video showing what you can do after reverse engineering the CAN bus. In this case, it was on a 2011 Infiniti G37 CAN bus, which seems to be very similar to the Nissan 370z CAN bus.

The CAN bus reverse engineering was done using an ESP32 and SN65HDR230 CAN bus transceiver and the wonderful SavvyCAN program.

To control the gauges for this video, I used an Arduino Nano clone and a MCP2515 CAN bus controller to send the CAN bus commands to turn off all the warning lights, turn on the back lights, set the engine coolant temp and animate the speedometer and tachometer for a little fun :)
