How to Prepare for a Primary Teaching Degree at Uni | How to Get Organised | Things I wish I’d Done

Something I get asked about a lot is is there anything I can be doing to prepare for my Uni degree? (BA/PGDE/PGCE) If you didn’t already know, I studied the 4 year BA course so I went into Uni very young straight from school and I didn’t exactly have my priorities straight from the start. I wish I had been more organised!!! In today’s video I share some general tips to get organised for uni and how to set yourself up for your future teaching career.

1. Buy a planner & plan your time wisely
2. Create an organised digital storage system
3. Invest in physical storage
4. Keep your notes organised
5. Keep educational theory notes and practical ideas separate
6. Keep a notepad for practical teaching ideas
7. Build Networks with lots of people
8. Start a teacher Instagram/Twitter
9. Use free time for extra training
10. Embrace all opportunities
11. Keep training records
