Abstract:
In this work, we present a multi-directional total variation method to reduce the high-frequency speckle noise in order to prepare the digital speckle pattern interferometry fringes for demodulation. In this method, the local fringe directional information is involved to increase the sensitivity of the variational regularization to the spatially varying directional intensity changes. Once the speckle noise is removed from the fringe pattern, the fringes are demodulated using directional wavelet based phase retrieval algorithm. The extracted phase can be used for the three-dimensional inspection."
