In the recent competition between Activision, EA and Ubisoft on who can make the worst decisions, Ubisoft has just set a new bar. They’ve announced the Beta of Ubisoft Quartz, the first playable NFTs designed by the Ubisoft Strategic Innovation lab, is coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint! So here’s another innovation by Ubisoft that nobody asked for, nobody wants and nobody will have fun with. And the like / dislike ratio on Youtube reflects that. In this video I talk about why I think Ubisoft went for a Blockchain NFT format, unlike Team Fortress 2, who has been doing the same Unique item ids, Item owner history, Marketplace trading and seeded skins with randomised appearances for years...without a blockchain. I also show you how to bring the dislike button back! I hope you enjoy.
