Today I took the aerial Tramway from Upper East Side Manhattan to Roosevelt Island. The journey is about 5 minutes. It was my first time visiting and it's an underrated part of NYC. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon here and you should definitely check it out if you live in NYC. The view from the tram is excellent and it's the same price as a subway ride. Once on the island, you can enjoy great views of Manhattan and Long Island City, including the NYC skyline and the famous LIC Pepsi-Cola sign. It's a great place to catch the sunset or the cherry blossom trees in the spring. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park at the tip of the island is a must-see and is really well designed. There were plenty of spots to relax in the shade and lots of opportunities to learn about the history and progress of RI over the past century. There are several restaurants to visit if you would like to stop for lunch or dinner, next time I will check out the rooftop bar, the Panorama Room at the Graduate Hotel for sky-high views of the city and some evening drinks! #nyc #rooseveltisland
