The Braille Brick Cell Innovation

Описание к видео The Braille Brick Cell Innovation

To promote play and learning outside the classroom, teachers in Kamuli and Namisindwa Districts have created "Braille Brick Spaces" in compound spaces.

The cells are built using locally available materials such as sand, wood and clay.

This method of bridges the learning gap between the sighted and visually impaired learners.

The LEGO braille bricks project was rolled out through sponsorship from the ‪@thelegofoundation‬ and a partnership between ‪@UNICEF‬ , the Ministry of Education and Sports, and Kyambogo University. The training was the start of a pilot project to introduce the use of LEGO braille bricks in play-based learning for learners.

#LEGO braille bricks have enhanced learning literacy and numeracy for visually impaired children since the project inception.
