Little India is a vibrant and culturally rich district located in the eastern part of Singapore's Central Region. As the name suggests, Little India is primarily an ethnic Indian neighborhood, recognized for its distinct identity and lively atmosphere.

Established by the British East India Company, the district became a hub for Indian immigrants who came to work on the serangoon road. Over time, it developed into a bustling neighborhood that celebrates the traditions, cuisines, and experiences of Indian culture in Singapore.

One of the key attractions in Little India is the colourful and bustling Serangoon Road, which is Singapore's main hub for Indian food, shopping, and culture. You'll find a vast array of traditional Indian goods here, including textiles, spices, gold jewelry, and other crafts. The road is also famous for its plethora of eateries serving up mouthwatering Indian dishes, from biryani to dosas.

Several important landmarks can be found in Little India, such as the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore, and the Abdul Gaffoor Mosque, a place of worship for the local Muslim community. Another notable feature of the district is the Tekka Centre, a large indoor wet market and food center offering a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, and local hawker food.
