PBR Wifi Battle #4: Blasted by Hyper Beam!

I take the Corey pass out for another spin against Zyzo from Big's discord. I'll be honest, I was dreading facing another Salamence and Latios (although a choice scarfed Medicham is a wondrous security blanket on this team), but Zyzo was not using conventional sets whatsoever here. He also wanted a rematch, so there are TWO games in this one :^)

Game 2: 5:25

It wouldn't have occurred to me until he actually told me, but he was using a team that was made based on Gen 3 rules. And I absolutely love the gall to use Hyper Beam on not only one, but multiple Pokemon on his team. In a way, if he had used "real" moves, I might not have stood nearly as well of a chance, but Hyper Beam also circumvented a lot of resistances ("fire and grass against a Dragonite? I'm unstoppable! OH SH-") and caught me off guard. And because of Mud-Slap, I thought maybe he was going for a troll parahax strategy, but nah, he said it was just a filler move. LOL. I love it.

I felt sorry for the double flinch at the beginning of the second game (I was predicting a switch to Entei), but the parahax I get makes up for it a lil bit. I also love how the second game became a roulette of Medicham's Ice Punch vs Latios's Ice Beam. And with this battle, I think everyone on this team has gotten to shine and show off their set. I had lots of fun with this one (if you couldn't tell already).
