This $225,000 cello (at 7:40 in the video) was made in the early 1800s by Thomas Dodd, an English bowmaker and luthier who was based in Covent Garden, London. The bow retails for $30,000.

The Kimball Arts Center (at 6:12) was such a hidden gem! I'd highly recommend checking it out. I spent an afternoon working here, and even though my work was stressful, this locale made it a lot better. The beetlebob exhibit was adorable and amazing.

I am currently looking around to buy a new cello, and I had the opportunity to try this cello out. It's not my top choice (and wildly outside my price range), but I'm so glad I got to play this amazing, historical cello.
