The milky way galactic core is back and rising in the early morning hours. This is a perfect time of year to capture a milky way panorama arch. I show you how I plan and photograph the tracked and stacked panorama on location using a star tracker and 2 ballheads. Besides the pano we make nightscape images of the core itself and of the Cygnus region of the milky way above the beautiful landcape. In between I explain the seasonality of the milky way and what times of year are best to shoot the bright core. As usual it doesn’t all go smooth and I face the boundaries of the dynamic range of my camera while attempting to make a blue hour blend.
