Futuristic and Eco-Friendly Design: 42 Meter Long House with Radical Concept in Menorca, Spain

The house is defined by its radical design concept—two housing units contained within two long slabs, stretching a remarkable 42 meters in length and standing 3 meters high. The layout of the house is divided into two sections: the main living areas facing south for maximum sunlight, while the service areas are placed to the north with minimal window exposure. The central courtyard plays a key role in linking the two spaces, facilitating air circulation and acting as a thermal buffer. This clever use of space and airflow makes the house energy-efficient and comfortable year-round.

The roof is sloping and made of concrete, with a unique profile that adapts to the changing terrain, while the lower level is reserved for a large basement and a swimming pool, both of which are integrated into the natural landscape. The garden, designed with a Mediterranean theme, requires no water, aligning perfectly with the house's sustainable vision.

The material choices—white walls, concrete, wood lattices, and glass—create an elegant contrast, while cutting-edge technology allows the glass windows to be concealed behind walls or sliding shutters when privacy is desired. The house also features an advanced rainwater collection system that stores water in a 40-ton cistern, reinforcing its eco-friendly approach.
