The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a café racer motorcycle with a classic design and agile ride quality. This RE bike rivals the Kawasaki Z650RS and the Moto Morini Seiemmezzo, in the 650cc segment. The ex-showroom Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 price ranges between 3.19 Lakhs and 3.45 Lakhs, for its four offered variants.


The Continental GT 650 is equipped with a 648cc twin-cylinder four-stroke engine with a digital spark ignition system. It churns out a maximum power of 47bhp at 7250 RPM and a peak torque of 52Nm at 5250 RPM. The oil-cooled engine gets mated to a six-speed constant mesh manual transmission system that offers smooth gear shifting.


The Continental GT 650 mileage is similar to that of the Interceptor, somewhere around 24-25km/l. However, the mileage figures are subject to change in different driving conditions.


The Royal Enfield Continental 650 is built around a tubular steel double-cradle chassis. It rides on beefy 41mm telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers with adjustable preload at the rear. The stopping power comes from a 320mm disc and a 240mm disc at the front and rear, respectively. Lastly, it gets a 100/90-18 M/C 56H section front tyre and a 130/70-18 M/C 63H section tyre at the back.


The RE Continental GT 650 is 2,119mm long, 780mm wide, and 1067mm in height. Its ground clearance stands at 174mm while the wheelbase is 1398mm. It has a kerb weight of 214kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12.5-litres.

The GT Continental 650 is a bit sportier compared to the Interceptor, as it follows a café racer format. It misses out on the pavilion seat for a more focused look and feel. In the front, it flaunts a round headlamp flanked by sleek indicators, a wide fender, and a radiator shroud. The rear-view mirrors are circular and the dual exhaust pipe is upswept, placed on both sides. The fuel tank design of the RE GT 650 is a bit boxy and it features brand emblem and graphics. Furthermore, the rear end exhibits a hexagonal sleek taillight and traditional-looking blinkers.



The Royal Enfield GT 650 comes with ABS as part of the standard safety feature on all the variants. In the electrical department, the bike has LEDs for the headlamp and halogen for the tail lamp. The instrument cluster is a twin-pod unit, which houses an analogue tachometer and speedometer accompanied by a small display. The display unit provides the trip data, fuel gauge, and odometer information to the riders. Apart from this, this Royal Enfield Continental GT gets a USB charging port that offers the feasibility of mobile charging. Additionally, this vehicle incorporates premium aluminium switch cubes, cast alloy wheels, and many other essential features.
