The Phantom Fairground | Animatronic Horror Display @ Wild Time Comics - Free Comic Book Day 2023

Hey everyone! Earlier this month our comic book store participated in the annual national Free Comic Book Day event. These events are always so much fun to put on!
For this event’s display I made “The Phantom Fairground”, a creepy carnival display with various carnival booths and stands, with a walkthrough blacklight room in the center serving as the carnival’s freakshow. Months of planning went into this, and though there would’ve been more set pieces if I had the time, the display was a hit with guests, which I’m super happy about. Creepy carnival / circus themes are some of my favorites to do, and attempting a blacklight room is something I’ve wanted to try for a while, so this was a super fun project.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped out with the event including Haunt Channel, HicksHaunter, Halloween Fan 101, Hauntabulous, and The Hazardous Hooligan for helping me out with the display, and also a huge thanks to everyone who stopped in throughout the day. It was a great time, already looking forward to the next one!
