It's been just three months since Taiwan's midterm local elections, but now the country's main parties are looking toward the presidential and legislative elections in 2024 and who their candidates will be. The government has now confirmed that the head of the U.S. House's new committee on China, Mike Gallagher, visited Taiwan last week and met with President Tsai Ing-wen. He's calling for faster delivery of U.S. arms systems to Taiwan. And TaiwanPlus reporter Rik Glauert, on the ground in Ukraine, reports on what has made fighters from many countries, including Taiwan, rally to Kyiv's cause. Also:
President Tsai Ing-wen has met and thanked members of the Taiwanese rescue team who traveled to Turkey following the devastating earthquake earlier this month and saved 10 people from the rubble of collapsed buildings.
