In this video, we take a hands-on approach to FreeRTOS, exploring how to download the SDK, create tasks, and implement queues. We also discuss some of its downsides, such as the steep learning curve and resource usage, particularly with memory and flash. Watch as we build and run a FreeRTOS project on a Raspberry Pi Pico Zero.

Next, we dive into the ThreadX RTOS, building and running a project on the Raspberry Pi Pico for comparison.

Finally, we demonstrate a simple task scheduler that can be used as an alternative to RTOS for less complex projects.

The video concludes with my thoughts on using FreeRTOS in embedded microcontroller projects.
