Zaki Jalalzai - Gula de Naarenj

Gula de Naarenj, an expression of emotions from the perspective of the Afghan diaspora outside of Afghanistan. A poem written by Dr. Abdul Jabar Jalalzai who goes by his pen name "Sahaar." Inspired by a lifetime of memories with and around the Blossom of Naarenj, almost 25 years ago the poem was written to signify the beauty that Gul e Naarenj brings to the Nation, literally and metaphorically. And how much we as non resident Afghans miss out every year not being able to attend and witness the magic of Mela e Gul e Naarenj!
