Cass Scenic Railroad: Shays In The Mountains

Deep In the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia, a whistle can be heard echoing across the land. Those whistles are from none other than the shay locomotives of The Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. Train Man Productions ventured out to the Cass Scenic Railroad on July 20th, and we are proud to bring you the full excitement of this Railroad for your viewing pleasure. Included in this video, is a morning photo session at the Cass yard and depot that was arranged by Walter Scriptunas II. We will also climb aboard the train as the powerful shay engine climbs grades as steep as 11% to get us up to Bald Knob. So sit back, and enjoy steam railroading in the wild & wonderful state of West Virginia!
