Pakistan Army has given a strong and decisive response to Afghan Taliban aggression along the western border. In Nushki, the military reclaimed Ghaznali post and hoisted the national flag after intense fighting, killing over 200 Taliban and allied terrorists since October 11–12.
In Kurram district, the army destroyed four Taliban tank positions and killed a key Khawarij commander during precision strikes. Meanwhile, in Chaman’s Spin Boldak area, security forces foiled multiple cross-border attacks by Taliban fighters using civilians as shields, leaving 15–20 militants dead.

In economic news, Pakistan has secured a staff-level agreement with the International Monetary Fund for a $1.2 billion tranche, marking a major step in stabilizing the economy. The IMF praised Pakistan’s improved fiscal discipline and first current account surplus in 14 years.

The Federal Board of Revenue is set to begin a nationwide crackdown on non-filers as the income tax return deadline expires tonight. Officials have confirmed that no further extension will be granted, and enforcement will begin immediately.

In sports, Pakistan stunned world champions South Africa with a 93-run victory in the Lahore Test. Spinner Nauman Ali took a remarkable 10-wicket haul, while Shaheen Afridi’s fiery spell sealed the win to give Pakistan a 1–0 lead in the series.
