ULTIMATE 7+ lb BBQ Nacho Challenge!

My dad was visiting me in Memphis and he was able to join me and help film my attempt at my biggest food challenge victory ever! We headed over to J Mack BBQ in Murray, KY where they offer a BBQ Nacho challenge platter. Challengers are given 45 minutes to eat the 7-7.5 lb platter and if successful, the meal is free, you get a t shirt and your name goes up on the wall of fame!

The platter is a triple order of their BBQ nachos. The nachos are served over a bed of baked beans and a base of waffle chips, topped with award winning pulled pork, their signature BBQ sauce, coleslaw, nacho cheese jalapenos and sour cream. I hate sour cream but I forgot to ask if I could leave it off, and when I remembered to ask them, they had already finished making it! That added an element of adversity to overcome on this huge challenge :)

The taste of this challenge (despite the sour cream) was absolutely delicious. Living in Memphis, I know a bit about BBQ and this was some serious BBQ. I especially enjoyed the waffle chips as a change-up from typical tortilla nacho chips. The sauce, cheese and beans made the dish very moist and easy to eat quickly. Very nice job on the dish!
