We truly are in the golden age of acoustic guitar making. When an instrument that sounds this good is available (with a pickup) for $500, we just have to be grateful. The Eastman ACTG 2E is part of Eastman's AC series (all solid wood no frills instruments at a very affordable price point).
The ACTG2E is a travel guitar, much like the Taylor GS Mini, or Martin Dreadnaught junior etc, but in Lucas's opinion it smokes the other offerings, and at a slightly better price point as well.

The guitar features Sapele top back and sides bound in tortoise style binding, a simple ring rosette, pearl dot fretboard markers, a Sapele neck with ebony fretboard, jescar fretwire, a bone nut, 23.5 inch scale length, 1 11/16 string spacing at the nut, an east Indian Rosewood headstalk over-lay with maple Eastman logo, ping 3 per side tuning machines, and a simple Fishman Sonitone pickup with controls inside the sound hole for volume and tone.

Eastman guitars are made by hand in Beijing, China, and they represent extreme value for money in the guitar, mandolin, woodwind, brass and stringed instrument worlds.
