The jumps get bigger! | Helmet Cam

Casper was back to his normal self this week and was so much fun to ride! There were only three of us in the lesson and we were back to one of our usual instructors, so we went out into the field and Casper and I jumped some of our biggest ever jumps together! He was such a good boy and didn’t even bat an eyelid coming into some of the bigger ones, they were only somewhere between 2'6 - 2'9, but considering 6 weeks ago Casper would cat-leap anything bigger than a ground pole, he did a super job! It was also a lesson of firsts as we attempted our first ever walk to canter, which obviously wasn’t perfect, but I couldn’t even have dreamed of trying one on him a few weeks ago! We also jumped the gate for the first time together - Casper’s jumped the gate before when he first got here and was put through his paces, but that was quite a while ago so I wasn’t surprised when he had a little wiggle and a look coming into it for the first time, but he still jumped it despite not being sure and when I brought him round to it again he popped it with no problem - such an honest little pony!
