“Strongest and best! Strongest and best! Cleanest and fastest and pull the express!”
Gordon The Big Engine (2004)
LYRICS:
Diesel sat on the switch and he stood in Gordon’s path
He said “You’re all clapped-out, and you’re only good for scrap!
Make the most of the trip, ‘cause it might just be your last!
You’re gonna’ squeak, rattle and roll! (X2)
Squeak, rattle and roll!
You’re gonna’ squeak, rattle and roll!
He said, “You can’t do nothin’! To the scrapyard you’ll go!”
Gordon pulled The Express, but he wasn’t keeping time
The Click-Clunk Express was the slowest on the line
He went so slow, but the noise he couldn’t hide
He went squeak, rattle and roll! (X2)
Squeak, rattle and roll!
He went squeak, rattle and roll!
Well you can’t do nothin’, when you take life so slow!
They said “GO!” Go Gordon Go! GO!
(X6)
Thinkin’ he’d be scrapped, Gordon gave them one last show
And he went so fast, all the children caught their boat
Sir Topham said, “It’s the Works where you will go!”
We believed Diesel was wrong, and now we know
We believed Diesel was wrong, and Gordon showed
He’s a really useful engine, don’t you know?
So now squeak, rattle and roll!
You can squeak, rattle and roll!
Squeak, rattle and roll!
I said squeak, rattle and roll!
‘Cause you can’t do nothin’, but watch our Gordon go!
Squeak, Rattle and Roll!

Hello again folks!
Hope you’re ready for another parody - this is “Squeak, Rattle and Roll,” based on the Season 8 episode of the same name.
Much like “Diesel in Disguise,” at first I wasn’t sure if it was good enough to get its own song. But after I started thinking about one verse, I started imagining the others, and eventually I decided to go ahead and see if I could pull it off. I really enjoy making music videos that recap stories, like my “Holding Out For a Hero” music video with Balto last year. I have nice memories of watching it on the “Steamies VS Diesels” DVD, so I figured, why not give it a song? I always liked when Mike and Junior did songs based on random episodes, like “Once Was an Engine Who Ran Away." It was a bit of a challenge to summarize the episode in 2-3 minutes with only a couple of verses, but lots of fun to figure out. I really like how it came together!
I want to give a HUGE thank you to Jack, AKA @LittleOwl2003 for recording the vocals for this song! When I recorded the temp vocals myself, I found this one very difficult to sing, but Jack handled it no problem and improved many verses that I struggled to write. I cannot begin to express (heh, pun) how refreshing it was to hear his vocals after hearing my temp version.
@LittleOwl2003 has made tons of reaction videos, music videos, voice impressions, and his own parody songs on lots of franchises! I highly recommend giving them a watch and consider hiring him for more projects! Check out the rest of his socials and channels in the links below! Thanks again so much Jack!
