To craft the staff, you must first obtain the Plan: Staff of Herding by defeating Izual in Act IV (The Great Span) until it drops. Once the recipe is learned at the Blacksmith, you must gather the following materials:
Required Materials & Locations

Black Mushroom (Act I): Found in the Cathedral Level 1. It spawns in a specific patch of glowing mushrooms on the ground.

Wirt’s Bell (Act II): Purchased for 100,000 gold from Squirt the Peddler in the Hidden Camp.

Gibbering Gemstone (Act III): A rare drop from the unique enemy Chiltara in the Caverns of Frost Level 2 (Fields of Slaughter).

Cost: Crafting the staff requires 50,000 gold at the Blacksmith.
