Take a peaceful snow walk through North York, Toronto, as a winter storm transforms the city into a calm, magical wonderland. Overnight, an Alberta Clipper swept across Southern Ontario, covering Toronto in wet snow and icy slush. What started early Wednesday morning as steady snowfall lasted well into the afternoon before shifting to a rain or rain–snow mix, just as Environment Canada warned.
In this video, we stroll down Yonge Street in North York, from Mel Lastman Square south to Sheppard Avenue and then north to Church Ave. This stretch of Yonge is one of the most vibrant parts of uptown Toronto, filled with shopping plazas, glowing towers,, we’ll pass by the Sheppard Yonge Centre, the Empress Walk, and the North York Centre — landmarks that define the area’s busy atmosphere.
As fresh snow blankets the sidewalks, trees, and rooftops. The soft crunch underfoot and the atmosphere create a soothing ASMR-style winter walk, perfect for relaxation, and study ambience.
While downtown Toronto saw around 5 cm of snow, areas north of the city—including North York—experienced 10 cm or more, making the streets feel like a true winter escape. As temperatures drop later tonight, the melting snow may freeze again, creating potentially icy roads and slippery walkways.
