The meteor shower poses a threat to the colony. Laser turrets and force field generators are used to protect the colony.
Turrets destroy only meteors that pose a danger to the colony, all other meteorites reach the surface.
The power and number of turrets are not enough to cope with the flow and at some point meteors reach the colony, causing significant damage to it.
