Metropoulos Plexi Replica JTM45/100, Marshall Super Amp, JD Simo

Описание к видео Metropoulos Plexi Replica JTM45/100, Marshall Super Amp, JD Simo

1962 Gibson ES-335 (aka: "Red"), George Metropoulos built "Plexi Replica" of a Marshall "Super Amp", also known as the JTM45/100. There's a cord between the amp and the guitar, no attenuation as it's only about a 70 watt (or so) amp. No fancy tubes or anything except for V1 which is an early '70's Mullard 12AX7. The power tubes are Chinese Valve Arts KT66's.
The cabinet is an old Marshall 1982 model from 1968 with four G12H 30 watt speakers.
JD never turns his guitars up much more than half way, he likes a real clear, clean and articulate sound.
Here's the amp settings:
Everything's on 10 except the bass, which is either on 0 or up just a bit, maybe 1. The guitar's plugged into input I, I think... could be two, not sure.

These amps are probably the best reproduction of a '66 Marshall Super I've ever heard, it's really hard to tell the replica from the real thing in a blind test.

There's an old set of Ludwigs in the background, I forgot to turn the snares off... sorry!
