Salmon River Gorge Waterfall Mission

Описание к видео Salmon River Gorge Waterfall Mission

Coming off the south slope of Mt. Hood, the Salmon River Gorge is known for epic waterfalls, scenery and an expedition feel. My first true remote kayaking experience, the day begins parking deep in Mt. Hood National forest to begin a 6.5 mile hike-up from the takeout. In the spring when snowmelt makes for optimal flows, the second half of the trail is covered in snow, meaning a long hike to the putin. Once arriving at a meadow just off the trail and descending to the river, you're quickly rewarded with clean waterfalls and beautiful gorges. You can go as big as you want with the run culminating to Frustration Falls (~70 feet in total) followed by Final Falls, a lesser run 80 footer. Shoutout Jam for convincing us to go the day before.
