Fight Club is a 1999 American drama film about an insomniac office worker who joins an underground fight club with a soap salesman. An unnamed, depressed office worker (Edward Norton) attends support groups to relieve his insomnia. He meets Marla (Helena Bonham Carter), another support group attendee, and Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), a soap salesman, on a flight home. Tyler and the office worker form an underground fight club for men who are dissatisfied with their lives. The club's activities escalate into terrorism that aims to destroy societal norms and institutions.
