The Takamine CTP-2 "Cool Tube" Acoustic Guitar Preamp - review and user guide

A feature-length exposition of Takamine's flagship acoustic guitar preamp, covering all the features of this unit, including connections, local and remote powering, battery change, tuner operation, EQ controls and of course the 'cool tube' feature itself. Video includes demonstration of the sounds obtained from various EQ and cool tube knob settings, and a review of the pros and cons of the preamp.

This is one of the three preamps currently being fitted to Takamine pro series guitars built in Japan, the other two being the CT4-DX preamp and the CT4BII preamp.

Demonstration guitar is a Takamine TSF48c, which features Takamine's NEX 'scaled down jumbo' body style, solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and rosewood sides.
