CA EDD Update discussing an important update for those previously on PUA Claims and a step they must complete to avoid possibly receiving an overpayment notice from the EDD requiring them to repay funds they received during their claim. The EDD will begin notifying claimants starting November 10th to complete the Work History Requirement which is required by Federal Legislation. The process itself is very easy to complete and several documents can be used to satisfy this request most of which were documents acceptable during the PUA Income verification requirement. However, if a Claimant does not submit the requested documents accordingly, they will receive a Notice of Overpayment from the EDD in regards to there claim. This is required even though PUA claims are no longer active. Meanwhile the EDD has released the latest data on the current Pending Claim situation, and we continue to see significant progress being made on Pending Claims including those impacted with Pending Payments.
