Former Chicken Farmers Switch To Growing Hemp

“We decided that we would grow hemp and go from killing animals to growing something, from destroying things to creating things.”

With help from Mercy For Animals’ Transfarmation project, the Halley family began their transition away from raising chickens. In 2020, they harvested their first acre of hemp on their family farm in Texas.
