In this video I used two different databases, one from the 80's CIA and the other one from the website

The CIA database contains information relative to the national/political boundaries (in the 80's), coastlines, islands and lakes of the planet.

In the website "Earth Impact Database" I took the geographic coordinates of impact craters on the Earth.

The green circles mark the locations of the craters, bigger the circle bigger the crater (in diameter), that is, if the circle is big so is the crater.

IMPORTANT: The green circles are NOT in scale, they are merely indicators, their diameters are proportional to the diameters of the craters.

Please note that the green circle located at mexico, is the Chicxulub (pronounced CHEEK-shoe-lube) crater, some say that this is the crater of the asteroid responsible for the fall of the dinossaurs. Is it important to realize that there is much controversy about how the dinossaurs were extinguished and this issue still is under debate, there is no absolute certainties on the matter.
