Tom "Pōhaku" Stone is a native Hawaiian who lives in an island of Oahu.

He is a former pro-surfer and has a masters degree in Pacific Islands Studies and taught at UH Mānoa and Kapi‘olani Community College.

Surfing is an age-old ritual and spiritual practice for many Hawaiians and he has revived the art of carving a wooden surfboards and teaches to pass down the knowledge of old wisdom and honor ancient Hawaiian surfing traditions.
