Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease are the two most common neurodegenerative diseases in the United States, but thereare others. Discussing these diseases and how they are diagnosed and treated is Tinatin Chabrashvili, MD, PhD. She is a professor of neurology at Upstate, and also a professor of neuroscience and physiology – which means in addition to taking care of patients, she is also involved in research. She is also the director of Upstate’s Neurodegenerative Disorders Center, and chair of the Alzheimer’s Therapeutics Program Committee at Upstate.
