The Mid-Florida Mustang Club (MFMC) is a family-friendly club of Mustang enthusiasts founded in 1981. The club is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of both classic and modern Mustangs. The club hosts monthly cruise-ins, picnics, road rallies, and other social events. The club also participates in charity work and supports local organizations such as the Simon Youth Foundation, Hope Helps Inc., and Give Kids The World Village. The club is an MCA regional club, but MCA membership is not required to join. If you are interested in becoming a member, you can visit their website1 or contact them at PO Box 4006 Winter Park FL 32793-4006.

The MFMC’s Annual Mustang & Ford Roundup is one of the premier Mustang & Ford events in Florida. It started in 1988 and has been held in various locations, such as the Orlando Science Center, the Central Florida Fairgrounds, and the Rock n Brews in Oviedo. Since 2018, the show has been held in the beautiful Historic Downtown Longwood, a charming area with 37 contributing historical structures that became part of the National Register of Historic Places in 19902. Some of the landmarks you can see in the downtown are the Longwood Village Inn, a former hotel built in 1886 by EW Henck, the founder of Longwood; the Inside Outside House, a unique residence built in 1873 with an exterior made of interior materials and vice versa; the Bradlee-McIntyre House, a Queen Anne-style cottage built in 1885; and the Christ Episcopal Church, the oldest church in Seminole County, built in 18793.

This year’s show featured a special parade of historically significant Mustangs, led by Longwood Mayor Brian Sackett, along the brick road of Church Avenue. The parade showcased 40 Mustangs representing every generation of the car, from the first 1964 model to the latest 2024 model, including some rare and iconic versions, such as the Shelby GT500, the Boss 302, the Mach 1, the Bullitt, and the Mach E. The parade was followed by a display of nearly 300 Mustangs and other Ford-powered vehicles, such as Cougars, Cobras, Thunderbirds, Fairlanes, and Falcons. The show also featured local vendors, police demonstrations, live music, food trucks, and awards for the best entries in various categories.
