US Reaper drone downed by Russian jet: Defence ministers of both countries speak, here are details

The Russian and US defense ministers held a phone call on March 15 after the drone crash incident. A US military drone crashed over the Black Sea in an incident that Washington called “unsafe” and “unprofessional”. As per the US, Russian Su-27 aircraft damaged the propeller of an American MQ-9 "Reaper" drone. The US has taken a stern stance that it would “continue to fly and to operate wherever international law allows”.
US officials said two Russian jets dumped fuel on the unmanned aerial vehicle before the collision. US General Mark Milley, said it was not yet clear whether the crash was intentional or accidental. On the other hand, Russia claimed that the American drone was heading towards Russian-held territory. This is the first such instance since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict a year ago. Notably, the incident happened over Black Sea, which is bordered by Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
