Intertitle - 'Bolton Wanderers meet Portsmouth in the final and thrilling tussle for football's most coveted honour.'



Natural sound - M/S of the band playing "Land of Hope and Glory" in front of packed stands, the camera pans across to the people in the stands, there is some natural sound as they talk.



Intertitle - 'The huge crowd, nearly 100,000, became one vast choir.' Natural sound - A man stands on a platform and conducts the crowd in "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag", the camera pans across to all the spectators singing. L/S as camera pans across the Stadium again as they sing "Abide With Me", then back to the band and conductor.



Natural sound as crowd cheer when both teams run onto the pitch.



Intertitle - 'H.R.H. The Prince of Wales had a right royal reception.' People wave and cheer as the camera pans up the stands. M/S as Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, walks along shaking each team member's hand. Natural sound of crowd as teams prepare to start the match, cameramen walk across the pitch.



Intertitle - 'Neither side had scored at half-time - Portsmouth more than sharing the honours!' Natural sound as crowds shout and cheer as game is in progress, a goal is saved, various shots of the match.



Continued

Intertitle - 'After 35 minutes play Butler scored for the "Trotters."' L/S of the goal being scored, the crowd go mad shouting and cheering, a line of policemen walk onto the pitch.



Intertitle - 'again - in slow motion' Slow motion M/S from behind the goal as the Portsmouth keeper runs into the goal but cannot stop Butler scoring. Bolton players celebrate.



Intertitle - 'three minutes from time Blackmore scored again.' Crowds cheer and players congratulate each other.



Intertitle - 'again - in slow motion!' Slow motion M/S as Blackmore kicks the ball into the goal, the keeper reaches for it but misses.



Intertitle - 'H.R.H. the Prince of Wales presented the cup amidst tremendous enthusiasm.' Crowds cheer and pat the Bolton players as they make their way up to the Prince. L/S as he presents the Cup and shakes hands with the players. They go down the other side and get more congratulations. People shout and cheer, the camera pans across and up to Portsmouth players shaking hands with the Prince. One man comes forward and gives three cheers. M/S as the Prince stands and listens to "God Save the King" then shakes hands with the people around him.
