Whether you call it the neighbourhood The Beaches or The Beach, this area is one of Toronto's favourites. Whether you come here for the fireworks on Victoria Day or Canada Day, or to get some sun, or play some volleyball, there is something for everyone on the beach. The commercial area on the Queen Street is a walk of its own.

This walk starts across from the Garden Gate restaurant (also known as the Goof), walks briefly along Queen East to Silver Birch Avenue to the Boardwalk and along just after sunrise. On this walk you will see dog walkers and joggers, and people out for a walk. Its also midge season, so you will see people (including me in shadow) brushing or swatting them away.
