With Amtrak’s 50th anniversary in 2021 and the retirement of the Genesis series of locomotives on the horizon, I thought it would be fun to put together a special video with scenes of every single Amtrak P42DC locomotive I’ve ever caught on video. Over the years, I’ve managed to capture most of Amtrak’s P42 fleet. In this video, we will go through the P42DC locomotive roster, starting with locomotive 1 and going all the way to number 207. Accompanying each featured locomotive will be a build date retrieved from rrpicturearchives.net, a train name, and a location.
