Bf 109 G6 Late: 6 kills on Patrol off the coast of Normandy | WW2 Air Combat Flight Sim

These kills were made during one mission created by the Pat Wilson Campaign Generator using the 'Normandy map' for a June 1944 Luftwaffe fighter pilot career. PWCG is a mod that generates dynamic pilot campaigns for the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles series (Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Moscow, Battle of Kuban, Battle of Normandy and Battle of Bodenplatte). I don't think there are any dynamic campaign generators for DCS World.

The enemy AI in a PWCG mission is randomly generated for each NPC to be either Novice, Average, Veteran or Ace. This specific pilot campaign is set to 'Elite' with over a 50% chance of any AI encountered during the mission being Ace-level. The Ace AI NPCs are deadly shots and I usually find myself KIA before I even know one is close! The gist of it is, this is NOT set to 'Hold my hand Daddy/Easy' level.

Released to combat in February 1943 during the Second World War, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 fighter had the Daimler-Benz 605A engine and produced 1480 HP at sea level. It could mount a 30 mm MK 108 cannon in the nose with 2 x 20 mm MG 151/20 cannons mounted in pods under the wings. The 'G-6 Late' variant had MW 50 injection for boosted HP at low and medium altitudes and also had an Erla Haube canopy for improved visibility. Of 36,901 Bf 109s produced, more than 12,000 were G-6 variants!
