We decided to spend the afternoon and evening along the CNW main headed west out of Chicago.

1. An assortment of CNW & UP power at the engine terminal in Proviso yard.

2. A westbound Metra arriving in Elmhurst.

3. A westbound CNW stack train with a red Santa Fe engine trailing.

4. An eastbound Metra headed back into the city.

5. Two westbound Metra trains stop at the Elmhurst station.

6. An eastbound CNW freight passes the station.

7. Three westbound Metra express trains pass through Elmhurst without stopping.

8. East and then westbound Metra trains stop at Elmhurst.

9. A freight with CNW & UP power heads east through Elmhurst while a westbound Metra comes through on the other side.

10. A short turn Metra arrives n Elmhurst and then heads back to Chicago.

11. Another Metra passes west of the station.

12. An eastbound stops at Elmhurst.

13. A pair of jets pass over on their way to Midway airport.

14. A westbound Metra departing from Elmhurst.

15. A CNW freight heads west though town.

16. As darkness falls, we see one more pair of west and eastbound Metra commuters at the Elmhurst station.

17. A CNW SD working at the northwest end of Proviso yard.

18. The CNW business train backing into Proviso.
