Tips:
South African passport holders don’t need a visa for Thailand
Cash is king in Thailand so make sure you withdraw some cash at the airport when you arrive
Most hotels will ask for a 1000THB deposit when you check in (they prefer cash)
If you don’t book your activities online you can always book them when you arrive in Thailand. Just compare the prices.
My travel dates were 27 January- 3 February 2024
With the group trips you’ll be required to pay an extra fee (200THB) if your hotel is outside of the central beach areas
Everyone in Thailand was nice and friendly and it’s easy to get around and do things even when you’re alone.
