White Java Sparrows and Friends - Sorting Pine Leaves

White java sparrows and several other finches are in this cage. They are selecting the pine leaves that we provide, so they can make additional nest bedding in the nest box. These java sparrows have been with us since 2019, at that time there were only 5 of them. There are now about 20 java sparrows here, that's not including a few more that we've given to others for breeding purposes. Actually we wanted to release these birds in a protected conservation forest, but so far we haven't found such a place around us. In the 1990s, java sparrow was widely seen around our place, but now it's not seen outside anymore. There are many species of animals that are extinct, but so are many new species born. We as humans must try our best to do what is best for nature and this environment.
