Описание к видео PM Modi Launches Namo Bharat Train In Meerut | 80% Women Staff To Lead Operations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially inaugurated the Meerut section of the Namo Bharat rapid rail at the Shatabdi Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh. This milestone marks the completion of the 82-kilometre corridor, enabling commuters to travel between Delhi and Meerut in approximately 55 minutes. A significant highlight of the project is its focus on gender inclusivity, with an unidentified speaker noting that '80% staff, particularly the drivers who will be running, operating those trains, will be women.' The semi-high-speed rail system, capable of reaching 160 km/hr, is expected to provide a massive boost to NCR connectivity and regional infrastructure. Another unidentified speaker described the launch as a 'proud moment,' calling it 'India's first semi-speed high train.' The facility features advanced technical equipment, including QR code ticketing, and is set to open for public commuters from 6:00 PM today. The project is viewed as a transformative step for the Western Uttar Pradesh transport landscape.
