Hello, neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Dometic RV Gas Water Heater. It's rated for 10,000 BTUs and it holds a six gallon tank. Now folks, this will give you a quick recovery on a water heater and it's gonna provide a long lasting supply of hot water with a small lightweight tank. The whole thing only weighs about 18 pounds as a unit. Now it can produce up to 12 gallons of hot water per hour.

It does feature an automatic DSI or direct spark ignition inside of here, and that gas pilot will heat the water once the destination is reached and it'll relight automatically until the heater is turned off. Now inside of here, there's a U-shaped flue tube that's gonna distribute more heat from the burner out to the water. It does feature an 80% heating efficiency rating and it also has a nice incoloy construction to prevent burnout. Now it does mount into your coach for easy operation and the tank itself is an aluminum clad tank, which reduces calcium buildup and limits corrosion. It's also gonna eliminate the need for an anode rod.

Now it is thermostatically controlled to prevent overheating and it has a high temperature limit switch to automatically shut off the unit if it gets too hot. The pressure relief valve is gonna prevent excessive water expansion. So just like your hot water tank at home, you got a valve here on the spring little lever, and that's for safety and any air pockets, or rather, there is an air pocket built into the tank and that's gonna prevent excessive water expansion as well. It's also gonna keep water in the tank from dripping into your cabinet or anything like that as well because of that air pocket. Now it has what's called a combustion shutter and that's gonna adjust the oxygen level automatically in the pilot light area for high altitudes.

So you won't have to worry about that either if you're at a higher altitude in the mountains or something and everything is externally sealed. And as you can see, it is insulated as well. So you got your cold and hot water on the back. They're obviously labeled. They have these caps on there for shipping.

I'm not gonna pull 'em off. Once you pull 'em off, you can't put 'em back on, but those are gonna protect the threads. You've got a couple things of brackets here, these kind of tear apart from each other, these V-shaped ones. And then you got a couple hinged door mounts, I'm assuming there for the doors. The door is sold separately if you need one. If you don't need one, you already have a panel, then you should be good to go. Now some quick dimensions, this is 12-3/4" tall by 12-3/4" wide. And the depth, counting the back water connections to the very front flat area, is 19-7/8" deep. The gas line is a 3/8" outer diameter. And that's gonna wrap it up for a quick look at the Dometic RV Gas Water Heater. I'm Steven, thanks for watching and have a great day.
