Welcome back to Mexico! This is our idea of the BEST day and BEST things to do in Isla Holbox! After a fun-filled first day in Holbox (check out our last vlog/travel guide!), we set up to go on the famous 3 Island Tour! This is by far one of the most popular things to do on the island, and we see why! You start by visiting Bird Island, an uninhabited island occupied by birds, Yalahau Cenote, a cenote only accessible by boat off the coast of Holbox, and Passion Island. We enjoyed our time at all 3 stops, and would recommend doing this tour for sure if you're visiting Holbox!
After our tour, we set off on a self-guided street art tour. Holbox is famous for its' vibrant street art scene. There are so many murals telling so many different stories. A recurring theme, however, is #saveholbox. Many locals have come together to portray their desire for sustainable tourism on the island through their art.
For dinner, we had to try out lobster pizza! Before reading about Holbox, we had no idea how popular of a dish this was (or that it even existed), but we were thoroughly impressed! We headed to Roots for dinner and had some juices, salsas, and pizza. We 10/10 recommend this place!
We head to Valladolid next, so make sure that you're subscribed to see our FAVORITE city in Mexico, as well as one of the wonders of the world!
